Layer 2 of the Genes to Cognition Program (G2C) sets out a scheme for screening DNA from humans for polymorphisms in genes identified in Layer 1. Details relevant to the individual boxes are described in the body of the text. The output from this layer is information on putative functional variants that can be tested in Layer 3 (see Figure 4).
