G2Cdb - Contents
The database covers the entire post-synaptic proteome, and some
additional genes that are known to be involved in plasticity.
For each gene, you can view:
- A selection of IDs specifying the gene, its transcript and
the protein it encodes
- The class of protein encoded by the gene, e.g. channel protein
- Plasticity effects observed when the gene is knocked out in
mice, sorted by brain region, mutation type and observed effect
- Detailed breakdown of the protocols used in the plasticity
experiments, covering the medium, stimulation protocol, numbers
of mice/slices and numerical measures of plasticity
- Mutations observed in humans, and the disorders with which
these mutations are associated
- Information on the protein's membership of various post-synaptic
protein complexes
